Released in November 2012, the first generation iPad mini was Apple’s initial attempt at a smaller, pared down tablet, with a multi-touch display screen of 7.9-inches rather than the 9.7-inches of the full iPad. Fingerprint and scratch resistance was fitted to the display and the iPad mini 1 was powered by the Apple A5 processor.
Memory capability available with the first mini was 16, 32 or 4GB. It came with iOS 6.0 and can support the latest iOS 9.0. There was no Retina Display fitted and graphics were 1024 x 768px, with a 5MP back camera and a 1.2MP version at the front.
