Computer equipment is always changing and there’s one little bit of hardware I really like. Not long ago the USB port improved to become the new 3.0 and that’s changed things for many portable devices. Now I love portable media and being able to move around my own computer files very easily. This is why I’m a huge fan of the USB 3.0 flash drive devices and that i own so many of them. I use a USB flash drive for work to backup my files. I use them for my personal lifestyle to store my audio and videos upon when I’m shifting them between my laptop and my personal TV. I can’t consider anyone I know who doesn’t know what a USB flash drive is.

The problem using the older models was because they were too slow. Old USB 2.0 flash drives were fine to use for small files and became very popular for that. However for larger files the original transfer speeds have been too slow which is why folks started using extra hard drives instead. But a USB 3.0 flash drive is a lot more portable than an external hard drive and these days they can be just as fast.

As well as becoming quicker they can now retain a lot more files. A short while ago all flash drives were small and slow. Now they are often fast and store as many files as some external hard disks. They’re small enough you can keep them inside your pocket on your own key ring.

Some USB flash drives are even so small that you can not notice them plugged into the computer. I know my brother use’s his USB 3.0 flash drive to bring his work and games into college and his trainer doesn’t notice it there.
